How each service begins and ends
Assessment
We examine the piece, describe its condition in writing, and give you a clear picture of what the work involves and what it will cost before anything begins.
Bench Work
Work proceeds against the agreed scope. If anything unexpected comes to light during service, we stop and contact you before continuing. Nothing is assumed.
Return & Documentation
The completed piece is returned with a written record of the work done. More involved services include photographic documentation of each stage.
Service 01
Heritage Wristwatch Restoration
A patient restoration process for wristwatches with sentimental or historical value — pieces handed down through families, military issue watches, and dress watches from earlier decades. We treat each piece conservatively: dial restoration is offered only where the original finish is beyond preservation, and original components are retained wherever functional. The service includes movement work, case treatment that preserves wear marks, and a documented condition report. Owners are consulted before any irreversible step.

Service 02
Strap & Bracelet Replacement
A straightforward service for fitting new straps and bracelets to wristwatches of all ages. We hold a selection of leather, fabric, and rubber straps, and can source metal bracelets to match specific case lugs and finishes. Spring bars are replaced as part of the fitting, and we check that the new attachment sits flush with the case. Suitable for owners who want to refresh a piece without committing to a full service.

Service 03
Marine Chronometer & Deck Watch Servicing
A specialist service for marine chronometers, deck watches, and large vintage pocket watches. The work involves a careful disassembly of often unfamiliar calibers, the fabrication of small parts where original components are unavailable, and a regulation process that allows for the larger movement size. These pieces require considerable bench time, and we are honest with owners about turnaround — typically two to three months. Photographic documentation accompanies each step.

Every service has a written cost estimate agreed before work begins. If scope changes, we contact you before the cost changes.

Irreversible steps require your agreement. We contact you, explain what we've found, and wait for your decision before proceeding.
Quality lubricants and materials
We use professional-grade watch lubricants appropriate to each movement type. Consumables are stored correctly and replaced regularly.
Realistic timelines kept
We give honest turnaround dates and meet them. Proactive communication if anything changes — before the deadline, not after.
Client information kept private
We do not share client details or piece details with any third party. Records are kept in a written workshop register.
